XM Asia sets up digital production hub in Vietnam
XM Asia Pacific has opened a digital production hub in Vietnam that will offer turnkey production services to support existing XM clients, and both new corporate clients and ad agencies across the region. The hub will be run in partnership with XM Sofresh, a digital marketing company in Ho Chi Minh City that was acquired by XM Asia in June.
XM Sofresh also runs an independent production arm offering front-end and back-end programming, and mobile application development. XM Asia is scaling up investment in that offering, turning into a regional digital production hub.
XM Asia’s new Ho Chi Minh-based digital production hub will offer an alternative to India, which is currently Asia’s main software development and programming outsource hub. XM Sofresh, along with XM Asia, has created a strict coding standard that can be re-used and enhanced by clients and their partner agencies across Asia, an offering that’s hard to find in competing digital production hubs.
“Nowadays, clients demand the best talent and speed-to-market output, irrespective of location and origin. The mantra of ‘Think International, Act Local’ is now needs to be underscored by a world-class delivery system that can service clients across the region, rather than be limited by it. We have a digital production hub solution that can scale,” said Paul Soon, CEO of XM Asia Pacific.
In the future, this facility will build further on technology offerings with its interactive team such as multi-touch screen, digital installations, new digital hardware devices and wearables and other new digital technologies.
“XM Sofresh Vietnam now houses some of the best innovative talent in coding and development in the region, and we are happy to be able to leverage and develop this ability to expand our services across the region,” added Justin Cohen, Co-founder and Business Development Director at XM Sofresh.
