Wunderman Shanghai picked as AOR for Campanile Hotels in China
Wunderman Shanghai has been appointed as the integrated communications agency of record for Campanile Hotels. The agency will handle strategy, creative, social media and digital execution, delivering both creative communications and insight-driven digital activations to increase brand visibility and drive results for Campanile in China.
Campanile is part of Groupe du Louvre, headquartered in France and has a network of more than 1,100 hotels in more than 51 countries worldwide. In March 2015, Jin Jiang International Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that the sale of Groupe du Louvre and its 100 per cent indirect subsidiary Louvre Hotels Group has been completed. Through Starwood affiliate Star SDL Investment Co., Groupe du Louvre was sold to the Luxemburg-based subsidiary of Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Development Co (100 per cent owned by Jin Jiang International).
Campanile is the mid-level premium, economy and limited service hotel brand and has been brought to China to give it a more competitive edge in the hotel industry. Campanile promises a distinctly French flavour to differentiate itself within the growing mid-range hotel sector. It has plans to grow Campanile into 500 hotels in China over the next five years.
“We’re honoured to bring our unique blend of creativity and data to help grow a fantastic brand like Campanile in China. It won’t be just about building awareness but conversion as well,” commented Bryce Whitwam, CEO of Wunderman China.
Li Yukai, CEO of Shanghai Jin Jiang Metropolo Hotel Management Co., Ltd. commented, “We are honored to work with Wunderman on our new launch in China.Their ideas are innovative and refreshing and they really understand our business. They are the ideal combination of a global footprint combined with strong local knowledge.”
