WPP adds digital to Scott Spirit’s mandate; Mark Povey named COO-WPP Digital

WPP is adding more power to WPP Digital with expanded roles for its senior leaders. Mark Povey, General Counsel at WPP has been named, the Chief Operating Officer for WPP Digital and Scott Spirit is now also the Chief Digital Officer of the company.

As Mark Read, CEO, WPP Digital gears up to take on the additional mandate of CEO, Wunderman, the company has expanded the role of Mr Spirit, the Chief Strategy Officer for WPP. As Chief Digital Officer of WPP, Mr Spirit will take over Mr Read’s mandates including digital strategy for the holding company, the coordination of digital resources for WPP clients also leading partner relationships for WPP’s digital thought leadership initiative – Stream.

Mr Povey’s mandate would now also include developing WPP Digital companies.
