Tapad bolsters senior APAC team with three new hires

Tapad, the cross-device marketing technology firm, has made three senior appointments to support its emerging Asia Pacific business. Furthering Tapad’s rapid expansion in the region, Andrew Tu, Vice President, APAC; Henry Schenker, Senior Director, Global Platform Solutions; and Isman Tanuri, Director, PR & Marketing, APAC, join the Singapore office effective immediately. They report to Pierre Martensson, GM of APAC and Tapad’s data division.

“Over the last few months, we have encountered overwhelming demand for cross-device marketing solutions from agencies, advertisers and publishers. With this team of seasoned industry professionals, we will strengthen the delivery of Tapad’s leading technology to market and provide exceptional support to our growing stable of clients,” says Mr Martensson.

As Vice President, APAC, Mr Tu is charged with driving Tapad’s growth across the region. As a priority, Mr Tu will be leading business development and commercial engagements with partners, prospects and clients. He brings more than 25 years of experience building digital businesses in the APAC region. Most recently, Mr Tu was the APAC Managing Director at The Trade Desk, where he was responsible for launching its regional operations and growing it into a multi-million business. He has also held senior leadership roles at Brandscreen, Omnicom Media Group and Microsoft.

Supporting Mr Tu in Singapore are Mr Tanuri, Director of Marketing and PR, APAC, and Mr Schenker, Senior Director of Global Platform Solutions. Previously with MediaMath, Mr Tanuri will pioneer Tapad’s marketing efforts in brand building and communicating cross device technology’s value to agencies, brands and publishers across the region. Mr Schenker recently relocated to Singapore from New York City where he spent 2.5 years at Tapad HQ. In APAC, Mr Schenker will serve as the technical lead to ensure customers’ successful integration with the Tapad Device GraphTM.

“Across the region, where multi-device ownership is the norm, digital marketers are becoming acutely aware of the importance of the unified view of their audiences. We are building a device graph that is unique to this region. By doing so, the Tapad Device GraphTM will be the key enabler for marketers to make more informed buying decisions and to find the audiences who matter most,” said Mr Tu.

Tapad’s APAC team is currently headquartered in Singapore with plans to expand into Japan and Australia in the coming months.
