Mike Cooper appointed Global CEO of Rapport
IPG Mediabrands has promoted Mike Cooper to the role of Global President & CEO of the networks’ Out-of-Home (OOH) planning and buying agency, Rapport. He also continues in his current position of President, North America, Rapport.
Mr Cooper joined Rapport in 2012 and in his new position will report to Jim Hytner, Chief Operating Officer, IPG Mediabrands. He will be tasked with maintaining the growth of Rapport’s presence around the globe in new and existing markets.
Mr Cooper has a successful track record in the media industry on both agency and client sides. Before joining Rapport, he held roles at BSkyB in the UK as director of project management and Managing Director of IPM, UK from 2003 to 2008, amongst others.
Mr Cooper said, “I’m extremely eager to build on the work that we’ve done to date and to begin to consolidate Rapport as one the biggest operators in the OOH area”.
He continued, “I’m also looking forward to continuing the development of our market-ready tools that will continue to streamline OOH planning. These tools have the potential to revolutionize the process and can produce really enviable efficiencies for clients.”
