Google launches Google Photos & Universal App Campaigns
Google has launched Google Photos and a Universal App Campaign at the I/O developer conference on May 28.
Google Photos is a standalone app/software that will help users organise, save and share their photos. In an official blog post the company said, “Google Photos gives you a single, private place to keep a lifetime of memories, and access them from any device. They’re automatically backed up and synced, so you can have peace of mind that your photos are safe, available across all your devices.”
Google Photos automatically organises photos by the people, places, and things that matter. “You don’t have to tag or label any of them, and you don’t need to laboriously create albums,” the blog post added.
The app can also help users quickly enhance photos and combine them in new ways. “In one tap, get instant adjustments tuned to the photo’s color, lighting, and subject to make each photo look its best,” the blog explained.
The company also launched Universal App Campaigns, a new campaign type that allows advertisers to reach consumers across Google media more efficiently and effectively.
“Universal App Campaigns offers a simple way to set up install ads for your Android apps in AdWords or directly from the Google Play Developer Console. With a single campaign, you can scale your reach across Google Search, the AdMob network, mobile sites, YouTube and Google Play. Just provide us with a few inputs about your app — what your ad creative will say, the audience you wish to reach, and how much you want to spend — we’ll do the rest for you. Behind the scenes, our ad creation and bidding engines will help maximise performance for your campaigns so you can spend more time building and enhancing your apps,” the company explained in an official blog.
