Dentsu Aegis Network Taiwan names new CEO
Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Isao Miyauchi as CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Taiwan, taking over from the current CEO Ann Yang who will leave the business.
Ms Yang has been with the company for over eight years of her 30 years’ experience. During this time the group has grown to become an industry leader with capability across the spectrum of digital, brand, media and performance specialisms. In early 2014, she took on the expanded responsibility to lead a significantly larger group with the formation of Dentsu Aegis Network. Ms Yang plans to remain connected to the industry and will be exploring opportunities to help NGOs with her extensive marketing and communications experience.
Mr Miyauchi will take over the leadership of Dentsu Aegis Network Taiwan following Ms Yang’s departure. He started his career in the newspaper division at Dentsu Inc. in 1982 and in 1986 moved to the Account Management division, working with key Japanese and global clients. In 2004, Mr Miyauchi moved to the Global Business Management division and then to Shanghai in 2008 to become Vice President of Beijing Dentsu Advertising, before taking on the role of CEO of Beijing Oriental Rihai. In five years, Mr Miyauchi led the re-construction of Beijing Oriental Rihai to grow the business significantly, picking up a strong grasp of Chinese along the way. He relocated back to Japan in 2013 to take on the role as Managing Director for the Dentsu Aegis Network division, working closely with the group across the region post acquisition.
This move sees Mr Miyauchi bring his extensive senior global account management experience to Dentsu Aegis Network Taiwan, a market he is very familiar with.
Rob Hughes, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network North Asia said, “Ann is a well-known industry figure and brings deep knowledge of the business to our clients with a uniquely personal touch. She has provided excellent leadership both prior to the formation of Dentsu Aegis Network and throughout the integration over the last 24 months and we wish her well.
“Taiwan is one of our largest and most diversified operations in Asia Pacific and it is an indication of our management strength across the region that we are able to provide continuity of leadership from within the network. I have been working with Miyauchi-san for some time and I am very confident that he will be able to accelerate our momentum in Taiwan and extend our market leadership,” Mr Hughes added.
