Apple Unveils New iPad mini with Retina Display
This is the new iPad mini.
The refreshed pint-sized iPad delivers Retina display and some of the advanced internal components that make the iPhone 5s so powerful.
Starting at $399 for 16GB, the Retina iPad mini offers up just as many pixels as the new full-size iPad Air.
The iPad mini is powered by the A7 chip and is approximately 4-times faster at CPU tasks than the first-gen mini.
It’s also 8-times faster at graphics-related tasks, Apple says. Nonetheless, the new iPad mini still offers 10 hours of battery life.
The second-generation iPad mini will be available in time for the holidays, although pre-order and launch dates haven’t yet been confirmed.
The new model comes in silver and white, and space grey and black.
