Powerhouse Dentsu BlueFocus rebrands to Dentsu Public Relations

Dentsu Aegis Network China is rebranding its brand agency, Dentsu BlueFocus, to Dentsu PR Beijing Inc. (“Dentsu Public Relations”). This marks an important step of Dentsu Aegis Network’s strategic development in China and its commitment to strengthen and provide one-stop integrated services in the Chinese market.

Dentsu Public Relations is the only public relations agency under Dentsu Aegis Network China and is backed by a global network in 123 countries. Committed to its vision of ‘Serving each other, connecting the world’ to build a connected world for brand and business growth, Dentsu Public Relations will serve as a powerful bridge of communications that links brands, media and consumers by leveraging its professional insights, scientific communications system and international vision to create effective marketing solutions for clients to succeed in the market.

Dentsu BlueFocus was first established in July 2010 following a joint venture between BlueFocus Communication Group, Dentsu Inc. and Dentsu Public Relations Inc. in Japan. It focused on public relations consulting and communications services for clients in diverse industries including automobile, consumer electronics, FMCG and food, and has won universal recognition and praise as well as achieved outstanding growth that was well above the industry average.

Dentsu BlueFocus subsequently became a brand agency under Dentsu Aegis Network China, following an acquisition of the remaining 51 per cent stake that was held by BlueFocus Communication Group in March 2015.

With Dentsu’s 20 years of experience in integrated marketing communications and its five years of public relations practice in China, Dentsu Public Relations has accumulated rich experience in senior executive training, brand reputation management and market communications, and has plans to co-author books, training courses and programmes to meet the increasing demand of Chinese executives in professional and international speech training.

Motohiro Yamagishi, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network China said, “The successful rebranding and addition of Dentsu Public Relations to our brands demonstrate our ambitions to strengthen our business capabilities and offerings, as well as the network’s commitment to the China market. I am very confident that the long accumulated public relations expertise and in-depth market insights will expand our public relations offerings in China and work collaboratively with other brand agencies to offer competitive integrated services for our clients.”

Commenting on the growing number of new opportunities and challenges that businesses face in the Internet+ era, Zheng Yan, General Manager of Dentsu Public Relations, said, “With the development of globalisation and the rise of owned media, traditional one-way communications have become unfit for the rapidly changing information environment. A professional and highly creative top-notch communications team with strong global network is required to provide clients with internationally informed and locally viable public relations solutions.”
