Digital Ad Revenue Sets New Quarterly Record, IAB Says
Domestic digital advertising revenue surged 23% to $15 billion in the third quarter of 2015, the sector’s highest quarterly spending on record, beating the previous high set during the same quarter last year, the Interactive Advertising Bureau said Thursday.
“These landmark figures confirm marketers’ confidence in using digital to reach consumers,” Randall Rothenberg, President and CEO, IAB, said in a statement.
The news might not come as a surprise to many. Back in October, the IAB reported that for the first half of 2015, digital advertising revenue hit a record high of $27.5 billion. The fastest growing segment was mobile, where revenue climbed 54% to $8.2 billion during the first half of 2015.
