Founded by in 2004 by Marc Gough of So Branding in Melbourne, Red Brand Builders is a branding consultancy and marketing agency that works with companies such as Kimberly Clark, Unilever, Big C, Nestle, Masan and Vinamilk.
After joining Edge Asia, Red Brand Builders Managing Director Chris Elkin will lead Edge Asia’s Vietnam business. Having lived in Asia for 15 years and in Vietnam for 10 years, Mr Elkin brings deep insights into the region and its nuances.
Commenting on the investment, Edge Asia Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Looram explained, “Our goal for bringing Red Brand Builders into the Edge Asia network is to accelerate our business in Vietnam. Our strategy across the region has always been to join forces with successful ‘on the ground’ businesses like Red Brand Builders and then leverage our scale and expertise to help them grow even faster. The completion of this partnership strengthens our offer to clients in SE Asia and particularly in Vietnam. To date, Red Brand Builders has been highly successful in growing its business and we believe the combination of its local market expertise with Edge Asia and STW’s regional reach and connections will drive even stronger growth in the future.”
This move has given Edge Asia a network of more than 450 people in offices in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Across these offices Edge works with clients including Diageo, Citibank, Unilever Mead Johnson, Microsoft, Samsung, HSBC and many of the region’s leading local companies.
“This provides an excellent opportunity for all of our team to become part of one of South East Asia’s leading regional agency networks, Edge Asia. It will allow us to offer broader and stronger capabilities to our clients. It also gives us the opportunity to work alongside our Edge Asia counterparts in other markets across the region, offering even greater breadth and depth of services to our clients,” added Mr Elkin.
