81 entries in the race for Socialathon 2015
A total of 81 entries from 18 agencies and marketing clients across the various genres of social media marketing have secured a place in the Socialathon India 2015 shortlist. The shortlist was compiled after a rigorous screening process which was divided in two halves.
For the pre-screening, a team of seven jurors – Gaurav De, Creative Strategist at Facebook & Instagram India; Gaurav Mehta, Chief Marketing Officer, OLX India; Karthik Nagarajan, National Director of Content & Social Media at GroupM; Rishi Dogra, Head of Digital at PepsiCo; Srinivas Murthy, Head of Marketing at Snapdeal; Sulina Menon, Managing Partner at Omnicom Media Group and Zubin Nalawalla, Co-Founder of LIQVD ASIA, screened the entries from July 14-27.
In the second leg of shortlisting, five jurors – Mr De, Mr Nagarajan, Mr Nalawalla, Avinash Pandey, Chief Revenue Officer, ANN & COO at ABP News and Abhishek Jugran, Director Marketing & Commercial – India & Southwest Asia at Coca-Cola gathered to award the metals across the different categories. Proceedings at both the stages were spearheaded by Jury Chair Vikram Sakhuja.
WATConsult was leading the shortlist with 17 entries, followed by Jack in the Box Worldwide with 11 entries. Next in line was PHD India with 10 and Mindshare with nine entries. Quasar secured eight, Isobar India seven, Tonic six, and Foxymoron and People Interactive with two entries each in the Socialathon shortlist for 2015. Meanwhile, ITC Hotels, Social Wavelength, People Interactive Pvt Ltd, Ogilvy and Mather, Talenthouse, LIQVD Asia, JITB, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt Ltd, and MTV India (Viacom 18) each secured one entry in the shortlist.
The 81 entries were led by PHD India’s Be Beautiful which featured seven entries in the shortlist across categories. This was followed by Jack in the Box Worldwide’s Fab Alley’s Unfollow campaign that featured four times in the shortlist.
Whisper’s #TouchThePickle campaign by Quasar and Philips’ Bladey Confession by Isobar India both feature three times each. In addition, Godrej’s TweetaTune, Nikon Cheatsheets by WATConsult, and Castrol by Mindshare, Philips Brant by Isobar India, and Surf Excel’s Swachh Bharat campaign by PHD India each earned mention in the shortlist twice.
