Microsoft Advertising Exchange gears up to compete across Asia
As part of Microsoft’s efforts to deliver scale and efficiency to display advertising, the Microsoft Advertising Exchange is now officially operating across Asia. The Microsoft Advertising Exchange is a real time bidding (RTB) marketplace that has delivered choice, efficiency and quality to demand partners across the Americas and Europe since 2010.
Microsoft Advertising Exchange will offer advertising inventory across its keystone properties such as MSN, Skype and Outlook.com in Asia, including Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Microsoft is one of the few publishers to make all of its discretionary inventory available in real time as part of its commitment to serve its advertisers and partners.
Advertisers and agencies have embraced RTB and continue to demonstrate an increased interest in automation. The Microsoft Advertising Exchange, powered by AppNexus, is built to deliver efficiency, choice and brand-safe quality to marketers who seek to offer real-time connected brand experiences at scale across PC, tablet and mobile display inventory.
The Microsoft Advertising Exchange delivers efficiency in the form of waste reduction by bidding on an impression by impression basis and valuing each impression according to the insights and data the marketer already uses.
Choice is delivered across an open eco-system where marketers are able to work with the RTB partners of their own choosing to access the Microsoft Advertising Exchange. Brand-safe quality is offered to the marketer through Microsoft’s premium inventory properties such as MSN, Skype, and Outlook.
“The Asia region holds tremendous opportunities for brands to reach out to a whole new generation of well-connected and young consumers. The availability of the Microsoft Advertising Exchange across Asia would provide a single marketplace for advertisers to effectively target millions of premium consumers in the region,” said Adam Anger from Microsoft Greater China.
